Eric Burdon and The Animals

Eric Burdon was de leadzanger van The Animals. Een band onstaan 1962 in Newcastle. Zij combineerden elektrische blues met rock en waren samen met onder andere de Beatles en The Rolling Stones een van de leidende bands die de Britse invasie opstartte. In 1966 verlieten een aantal leden de band waardoor alleen nog Eric Burdon en drummer Barry Jenkins over bleven. Zij hervormden de groep en noemde het Eric Burdon and The Animals.
