Joss Stone

Joss Stone is een Engelse soul, R&B en blueszangeres, songwriter en actrice. Ze werd op 11 april 1987 geboren als Joscelyn Eve Stoker. Ze werd beroemd in het einde van 2003 met haar debuutalbum The Soul Sessions. Dit album is drie keer als platinum gecertificeerd door het BPI, en is uitgeroepen als één van de twaalf albums op de lijst van genomineerden voor de Mercury Music Prize. Haar tweede album, ook drie keer platinum, Mind, Body and Soul, stond een week op één in de hitlijsten van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Tijdens haar carrière heeft Stone tot nu toe al meer dan 10 miljoen albums verkocht wereldwijd en ze heeft twee Brit Awards en één Grammy Award gewonnen. Daarnaast maakte ze haar acteerdebuut in de fantasyfilm Eragon, die werd uitgebracht in december 2006.
